Свою работу как санскрин выполняет, но для меня есть ряд минусов.
Крем лёгкий и довольно водинистый.
Не подошёл для лица, поэтому наносила на шею. Заметила, что на белой одежде образовались жёлтые следы, на тёмной одежде белых полос не заметила.
Крем практически не впитывался и оставлял липкую плёнку на коже как на лице, так и на шее, за что и сняла 2 звезды.
После нанесения крем оставляет довольно сильный блестящий финиш.

This sunscreen protects your skin from UV rays that don’t cause irritation and is suitable for all skin types. Formulated with Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide, it completely defends against daily free-radical damage. It’s hydrating and helps brighten your skin while improving the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Recommended to all skin types.
In lieu of sharing my top picks for those stuck on what to haul during Cruelty-Free Week, I thought I’d recommend something we all need: a reliable SPF. As a sunscreen junkie, I’m always on the lookout for new and better SPF formulations but I think I might have found something worth keeping around for the long haul.

The Aqua Soothing UV Protector offers skin broad spectrum protection with mineral sunscreen filters Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. It also moisturizes skin with Trehalose and soothes with crowd favorite Centella Asiatica. It’s also formulated with a number of silicones, one being Cyclohexasiloxane which enhances the spreadability of the sunscreen and prevents moisture loss. There’s also Adenosine which helps energizes cells and support wrinkle reduction. While the sunscreen does not include artificial fragrance, it does carry a mild scent that is part floral, part baby powder but tolerable.
As for packaging, the formula is contained in a flat, plastic tube that’s quite petite despite offering 50ml of product. The sunscreen is a great size to pop into any purse, backpack or what have you to reapply throughout the day when needed.
I really thought I signed up for a moisturizing sunscreen when I asked to try the Aqua Soothing UV Protector. It ended up being everything but that, however, I’m not complaining. As long as you get your hydration and moisturization needs in before going in with this sunscreen, the ROVECTIN SPF is an incredibly well formulated product that not only defends skin against the sun, it has other surprises that you would never be able to predict if you rely on the vague product description or product name.

Straight out of the tube, the Aqua Soothing UV Protector looks like your typical mineral sunscreen. It’s thick, creamy and you’re probably wondering how in the world you’re going to get away with that white cast. But y’all, you can and this formula is godsend, especially if you have oily skin. Let’s talk texture and finish first. The sunscreen has a creamy texture and a beautiful slip thanks to the silicones in the formula. Now depending on how you feel about silicones, this could be good or it could be really bad. The sunscreen spreads on skin with almost no difficulty and settles extremely fast. Once it dries, you won’t even feel it. However despite settling beautifully on skin, it can also look like the nightmare in the top right image in the collage above. How you apply it makes a difference and I think that’s why opinions on this formula are so divided.
First and foremost, you have to make sure your skin is adequately hydrated and plenty moisturized. The sunscreen latches onto dry patches and hair so my tip is to hydrate and moisturize plenty before you use this and blend really well around the hairline and over the eyebrows. Next, don’t throw it on all at once, apply a little at a time. I dispense a little at a time and concentrate on one area, move on to the next and repeat until my whole face and neck is covered. Applying everything at once doesn’t really give you a whole lot of time to blend out before it starts to dries and that’s why I think a lot of people find the formula difficult to work with.
The Aqua Soothing UV Protector is a physical sunscreen so it comes with the dreaded white cast but there’s nothing to dread here because it loses intensity minutes after application. For me, the white cast gives my skin a nice brightening effect but it fades pretty fast. But that’s okay because the sunscreen leaves skin with a semi-matte finish that looks porcelain perfect. Forget your primer people, this primes your skin beautifully for makeup. You need not have to worry about pilling or makeup caking, in fact your makeup will look flawless over this sunscreen.
The goodness doesn’t stop there, this doesn’t just function like a primer for makeup, it controls shine like nothing I’ve seen before. The Aqua Soothing UV Protector not only trumps all of the sebum controlling primers I’ve tried, it sets makeup better than any setting spray I’ve ever owned. So you see, I’m not mad that the “moisturizing sunscreen” I signed up for ended up being an entirely different product. The product pulls double duty as a sunscreen and sebum controlling primer.
The ROVECTIN SPF, much like many other physical sunscreens is very gentle on my skin and eyes. I’ve never experienced any irritation or discomfort. Some might experience a bit of dryness as the formula is not that hydrating or moisturizing but that’s the worse thing that could happen with this formula.
I’ve had the opportunity to try a lot of great SPFs that excel at regulating shine but none of them can keep my skin balanced as long as this formula. Most formulations start to falter around the late afternoon or early evening so I consider this one so good, it’s insane. This not only has a beautiful texture, it applies easily, dries down to a weightless, non-greasy finish but also gives skin the most amazing softening effect. It protects skin but at the same time serves as a wonderful makeup primer and is an absolute must have for spring/summer especially for those that live in hot, humid climate. However if you’ve got dry skin, I’m going to advise you to skip this one.
